Capture The Moment

Modern Lifestyle Photography arrests life as it happens. Lifestyle photography is perfect for the bride to be and her fiance´ and  New Orleans is the perfect city for Lifestyle photography. There are many picturesque locations that give the feeling of being in the Caribbean or Europe. Lifestyle photography has no limits and it should reflect the life’s of the couple.

Gone are the days of boring engagement pictures. The cold, posed pictures and bland background do little to appeal to the senses.  Lifestyle photography is about you being you.

New Orleans engagement photography session with Esther and Chris.  We started the photography session up town at New Orleans City Park and meandered our way to Canal street. Esther and Chris or my favorite type of people to photograph. Fun to be around, up for anything and patient. The last photographs of them on Canal street was the first test of our friendship. It was cold and getting colder as we stood there waiting for those bright red street cars to add the perfect splash of color in the background. I had the perfect subjects and the perfect backdrop. What do you think?

This week I looked forward to doing an engagement photography session with  Chris and Esther at a local Charter School in New Orleans. Why? Because they are both teachers. Unfortunately, no photography at a New Orleans Charter School. And you can not blame these two young beautiful people for not wanting to step back into school during the winter break. These two courageos souls represent one of the positive changes that are taking place in New Orleans post Katrina. They are charter school teachers who resently moved to New Orleans to take on the biggest challenge this country has to face. Educating inner city youth. Hip Hip Hurray. Big ups too these two. As my six year old would say. YOU GUYS ROCK!

For those of you who are wondering, yes this was a complimentary session. I do believe in giving to those who give. Any way enough of my gibber and gabber. Let’s look at some beautiful engagement photography captured in New Orleans.
